Amy Smart has been a model, actress, and a former American. Growing up and being raised in California USA she started her modelling career in Italy. Her acting career started in 1996 when she starred in the TV film Her Costly Affair. It was a long road to be a part of Starship Troopers in a smaller part. It was at first was hard for Amy to switch from modelling to acting. It's because the majority of models don't have the ability to act. And they are usually given insignificant and small parts. Amy did not give up. Her first major role came in The 70s followed by Varsity Blues. The 2005 romance comedy Just Friends, which also featured Ryan Reynolds, saw her play larger roles. Amy received the recognition she had been chasing for over a decade. Amy continued to make major films such as the Crank series opposite Jason Statham and the series Shameless in which she was a well loved recurring character.
