Her acting career started in 1996 when she starred in the TV film Her Costly Affair. Then, in a minor role in the feature film Starship Troopers she struggled very difficult. It was very difficult for her to transition from modelling to acting as the models werent usually considered to be good actors, and they were usually assigned smaller roles that were insignificant. But somehow Amy did not give up and transitioned to more prestigious roles. It all started with the TV series The 70s and the film Varsity Blues. The 2005 romance comedy Just Friends, which also had Ryan Reynolds, saw her perform some more notable role. The film was a major commercial success, and Amy has finally achieved the success she'd been striving for for over a decade. Amy was in several big movies in the Crank trilogy with Jason Statham. And she also played a recurring role on the Shameless series.
